Bull elephant dust bathing, MaasaiMara, Kenya.
A bull elephant showers itself with dust after bathing in the Mara River, coating its thick and wrinkled skin with a soothing mud pack. Most bull elephants are tolerant of visitors in vehicles unless they are in musth when they can be aggressive.

We spent hours in the company of this old bull, enjoying the indefinable sense of connection that binds humans and all life together. Reconnecting to nature is something we strive for at every opportunity, whether living among the Maasai Mara’s abundant grasslands or at home in our garden in Nairobi. We all have our own Sacred Nature; we just have to know where to look.
